a month agoI met there for a date tonight, and I was impressed! The atmosphere was excellent, the service supreme, and the food delicious! I had the flat with prosciutto and arugula and it was scrumptious!! Highly recommend!

2 months agoDelightfully surprising treat as we traversed home. We were looking for a good local restaurant. That is what we found. We enjoyed the homemade dinner and then gelato to finish it off. Had we not been getting back on the road, we would have went upstairs for wine. This restaurant has a great vibe and is quite welcoming. We enjoyed our meals and conversation. We look forward to making this a regular stop in our travels.

2 months agoWouldnt expect a small café to perfectly execute such a fresh and great culinary experience. Best oysters ive ever had, wonderful tuna, coffee is well selected and the italians are proud for Up n Down cafe to represent real gelato

10 months agoUp & Down offers a nice variety of sandwiches, wraps, salads and desserts. They offer make a wide variety of coffee. The service is always 10/10. I love coming here to write and relax while enjoying a yummy coffee.

11 months agoHungry Interstate-77 travelers owe it to themselves to make this short two-mile detour into Hillsville. What a hidden gem!! Delicious food, made in-house and reasonably priced. Try the snack board — it’s like a custom charcuterie with the yummiest house-made food! The steak & cheese melt is a hit as well (the steak is well-seasoned and tender), the chicken salad croissant with a sprinkling of dill is flavorful fresh and delicious! The hot honey flat is scrumptious and on house-made flatbread. House-made gelato too. Try this local place, you will not be sorry!!

a year agoAmazing little multi-story cafe/restaurant/bar/gelato/dessert/coffee/shake place. I had the Hot honey flat bread... AMAZING. Aniello is the owner/chef making master creations, staff is extremely friendly, another hidden gem in the Appalachian mountains., can't wait to visit again.
